Joe Ruggiero Furniture Collection

I became fascinated by history and antiques from the time I was a young boy growing up in New Jersey. I visited many historic places with my parents who frequently shared their interest in American history with my brother and my three sisters by taking us to historic homes and sites throughout the United States.

My father, an Italian immigrant, had a passion for American history; my mother was more interested in the colors, art and history of decoration. Their passion for fine furnishings and beautiful interiors became part of me, and now my wife and I have passed our enthusiasm for history and design to our children.

I am pleased to share my furniture designs with everyone who wants beautifully crafted, solid wood, American-made furniture that offers simple, creative solutions for their homes.

Upon first meeting Gat Caperton, I was charmed by his enthusiasm for his craft and his company’s ability to hand-build beautiful, solid wood furniture here in the USA. Four years later, I asked Gat to build my furniture designs, and you can imagine my delight when he agreed.

Our collaboration is a once-in-a-lifetime dream for me, and my designs have come to life through truly exceptional American craftsmanship. I’m proud for my name to be on each and every piece. It is a pleasure to be associated with these great American artisans who live and work in the hillsides of West Virginia.
